From the Desk of Chairman

Dr. Rabiranjan Chattopadhyay

I express my humble and sincere thanks on behalf of me and my family to every individual well wishers of the society, who have given me an opportunity to serve the state, at a historical moment, in the capacity of the Chairman of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

My synergized thrust area will be to bring the total Polytechnic education under the umbrella of superior quality, transparency of the process, speed to delivery of services and to reach every corner of the state particularly to women, poor and other weaker sections of the society.

The technical education fulfilling the requisite objectives can make valuable contribution to the society to meet the rapid change of the technology vis-a-vis demand, growth of industrialization, increased productivity, growing quality consciousness, indigenisation resulting in upliftment of rural areas and generation of job opportunity.

To achieve the above, I seek the whole-hearted cooperation among the Teachers-staff-students of the Polytechnics, Industrialists, Government and the Society at large.

To conclude, my best wishes are with every candidate aspiring for admission into Polytechnics and other courses under aegis of this Council and also to those presently appearing in the ensuing semester examinations.
